I know, it sounds like a horrible task for one to be assigned. Hey, someone has to do it so you don't have to, unless you buy the game... Well whatever. Let us get to it. Oh yeah, the name of this game is Caylus. If you haven't heard of it, check it out here at boardgamegeek.com
1. I ordered the game from Amazon, but only because my local game store did not have it in stock. Bonus, I saved some cash. I do suggest supporting you local game shop whenever possible, especially if they are like mine and stay open late everyday and allow anyone to hang out after hours in a play room stocked with games, tables, chairs, and a soda machine. Anyway, here is your exciting cutting of the box! Notice the good use to which I put my benchmade knife.
2. The King is looking at you. His body language says go fuck yourself, but his eyes say, no really, go fuck yourself.
3. Parts are nicely packed into the box and all the cardboard pieces need to be punched out. It wouldn't be French if it wasn't tedious. (Come on! You knew I would have to throw some sort of insult in there)
4. Punching out the pieces. They come out easily and I never once had the feeling of "Oh shit I just paid x dollars for this game and I just ruined this piece with a giant running tear across it!" They are nice and solid.
5. The board. Folds up nicely. This box wont take up your whole closet or trunk *cough* Alhambra Big Box (you weren't kidding, that is one giant fucking box) *cough*
6. A million pieces to take out of 1 bag and sort into additional bags. The good news, they provide the bags. The bad news, they were too lazy to pre-bag them for you. It's almost as though they want you to get carpal tunnel syndrome trying to sort all them small pieces.
7. Packs up quick. Fits easily. I don't foresee the need for any sort of organizer. This game is well suited for the bags and box it comes in.
Well that's it for the unboxing. Hopefully I will have a play through up for you shortly. Until then, El Zilcho out.
Cheers,

A lackluster post for #1
So, I tried to get my wife to play Agricola with me today, but she blew me off (not in the way that would have totally been ok) to watch project runway finales. She actually does like board games, and this would be our first go at Agricola, but oh vell. My goal is to take notes each time I play a board or table top game and relay the memos here. Hopefully it will be entertaining for you (the audience) as well as for me, and also act as a sort of review for those looking to play new games. I'm a bit of an addict when it comes to games, so hopefully my addiction will outpace peoples ability to purchase.... I also play with those that are hardcore to those that can barely comprehend settlers of catan. This should make it handy for those who run with either type of crowd.
Cheers,
